Privacy notice

This notice explains the information collected by the Project Nodus Phase 1 research-access portal. It is a practical working notice for an early nonprofit initiative and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before a broad public launch.

Information collected

We collect account information such as email address, name, institution, department, and position. Research applications may include project descriptions, computing requirements, licensing and data-classification answers, uploaded supporting files, and messages exchanged with reviewers.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate users, evaluate research requests, communicate about applications, maintain review records, protect the service, and plan future technical onboarding.

Storage and service providers

Authentication, database records, and private file storage are provided through Supabase. The public website is hosted through Cloudflare. These providers may process technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

Access and retention

Applicants can access their own profile, applications, visible reviewer messages, and supporting files. Authorized Project Nodus reviewers can access submitted materials. Records may be retained while an application is active and afterward for operational, security, and nonprofit recordkeeping purposes.

Sensitive information

Do not upload controlled secrets, credentials, regulated personal data, export-controlled technical data, or confidential information unless Project Nodus has expressly agreed in writing to receive it. Marking a request “confidential” does not itself create such an agreement.

Your choices

You may update profile information in the dashboard, withdraw eligible applications, and contact Project Nodus about access or deletion requests. Some records may need to be retained for security or administrative reasons.
